They also added another post player who played with the Connecticut Sun, Brionna Jones. Plus, WNBA champion guard Shatori Walker-Kimbrough.
Atlanta Dream
Griner will play alongside fellow Unrivaled players Allisha Gray, Rhyne Howard, and Jordin Canada, along with new head coach Karl Smesko, who is from the collegiate level. With these new additions, the Dream is destined to have an excellent season. Atlanta is coming off back-to-back playoff appearances, and with the new players coming in, they are on the right track to be in the postseason again.
Indiana Fever
The Fever had one of the best offseasons, and it was from a team that improved drastically thanks to the young superstar Caitlin Clark. Having Clark in Indiana attracted players to sign with the Fever. From having a new leader on the sidelines, former WNBA Coach of the Year, Stephanie White, to two-time WNBA champion DeWanna Bonner, to forward and three-time champion Natasha Howard.
Other additions include two-time champion whose energy is contiguous guard Sydney Colson and Sophie Cunningham. This new roster will play alongside two former WNBA Rookie of the Year, Clark and Aliyah Boston.
Two teams that will battle till the clock says zero. This will be a gritty game from both sides. From guard matchups to post players battling for rebounds. Having the game at the State Farm Arena is the perfect way to open the season for Atlanta. More fans will get to watch an electrifying match in a bigger arena.
