The 75,000 Square feet practice facility will be located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The 80-million practice facility is designed by players for players. A few Liberty players helped design the practice facility, such as Sabrina Ionescu, Jonquel Jones, and Breanna Stewart. The Liberty made history by being the first-ever facility “designed by players.” What makes it more unique is adding amenities like a hair, nail, and makeup studio, plus two private family lounges.

Another beauty of the new facility is the outdoor basketball court option, which serves as a clinic event and allows the Liberty to interact with the community. And that’s not all, each player will have their own private suite equipped with an entire height wardrobe and sneaker storage. Plus, a seven-foot daybed for lounging and recovering. Female athletes finally get what they deserve; this new Brooklyn practice facility shows this.

Seattle Storm Practice Facility

The Seattle Storm were the second team in recent years to upgrade their practice facility. The Storm debuted their new facility for training camp in April of last year. Their 50,000 Square feet, $64 million facility has many perks and amenities that accommodate the players at a high level. The Storm is another organization that is investing in its players. The first dedicated WNBA practice facility was designed and built from the ground up.

The facility has two indoor basketball courts and two outdoor 3×3 courts. The suite includes a locker room, a nutrition center and a player lounge. Plus, there is an aquatics center. This facility is located in Seattle’s Interbay neighborhood.  Starbucks is the first founding partner and the official coffee and tea for the Storm.

Las Vegas Aces Practice Facility

The Las Vegas Aces practice facility is 64,000 square feet and is next to the Raiders’ headquarters in Henderson, Nevada. The Ace’s new facility debuted in 2023, and CAA Icon led the facility’s design, which began being built in 2021. The Aces were the first organization in recent years to invest in the team and players by building a new practice facility.

The amenities include a player lounge with TV and gaming consoles, a locker room, a film room, training and a family room. The common denominator here is prioritizing family rooms for the moms in the league. Something the players have been fighting for.

The new facility also includes two basketball courts and LED scoreboards, which can seat more than 400 people. It doesn’t stop there, the locker comes with a TV and a built-in Mac Mini computer. As well as hot/cold plunge pools, sauna, cryotherapy, and a nutrition bar.

The ladies of the WNBA are finally seeing their hard work pay off. Three organizations that are doing the right thing by investing in the athletes.
