Two-time World Cup champion Ashlyn Harris expanded her influence beyond the soccer field by launching a new podcast, Wide Open with Ashlyn Harris.

Ashlyn Harris began her soccer journey at Satellite High School and later played collegiately for the University of North Carolina Tar Heels, contributing to three NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Championships.  

Award Winner Career

Professionally, her career spanned multiple teams and countries. She played for Saint Louis Athletica, Washington Freedom, and Western New York Flash in Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS), as well as FCR 2001 Duisburg in Germany’s Frauen-Bundesliga and TyresÃļ FF in Sweden’s Damallsvenskan. In the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), she represented Washington Spirit, Orlando Pride and Gotham FC. Notably, she was honored as Goalkeeper of the Year in 2011 (WPS) and 2016 (NWSL).

Internationally, Harris debuted with the United States Women’s National Team (USWNT) on March 11, 2013. She was part of the squads that secured the FIFA Women’s World Cup titles in 2015 and 2019. Beyond her on-field achievements, Harris has been a vocal advocate for mental health awareness and LGBTQ+ rights.
