Danielle Robinson’s life after retirement has been nothing but sweet. The veteran player has been promoted to assistant coach by the Los Angeles Sparks; she will also continue in her role as Manager of Basketball Integration with the organization.

It is known that guards tend to be great leaders on the court, and getting the promotion was the right thing for Robinson. She is a 14-year WNBA veteran for a reason. Her skills on the court said it all. She was a three-time All-Star and All-Defensive. Robinson played for five teams, the latest being the Atlanta Dream in 2023. Although injuries prevented her from continuing her basketball career, being an assistant coach is the perfect role for Robinson. This is a natural transition for her.

The Sparks’ opening game is on Friday, May 16, at 10:00 pm against the Golden State Valkyries.
