On Dec. 2, the WNBA announced the 2025 regular-season schedule, which will commence on Friday, May 16. The opening night game will showcase the new franchise, Golden State Valkyries, which will host the Los Angeles Sparks. The Dallas Wings and the 2024 Finals runner-up Minnesota Lynx will follow. The league added four more games to its schedule than the previous season, totaling 44. This season marks the league’s fifth Commissioner’s Cup. On Dec. 16, the league announced the Atlanta Dream and Seattle Storm will play in the third Canada game on Aug. 15, 2025.
Atlanta Dream Commissioner’s Cup Games
Friday, June 6: Connecticut Sun (road game); the game starts at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Dream will face off against Marina Mabrey and DiJonai Carrington, the guard duo. After two seasons under Stephanie White, the Sun has a new head coach, Rachid Meziane. White left after this season and now is with the Indiana Fever.
Tuesday, June 10: Indiana Fever (home game); the game starts at 7:30 p.m. ET. Second-year player Caitlin Clark will make her mark in this game, attracting many eyes. Now under Stephanie White, who was in Connecticut for two seasons. The Fever are without center Temi Fagbenie, who was drafted this month by Golden State Valkyries.
Friday, June 13: Chicago Sky and Angel Reese (home game); the game starts at 7:30 pm ET. Atlanta will face off against the center duo of Reese and Kamilla Cardoso, who made history this year as the first rookie duo to have multiple games with double-doubles since the 1998 season.
Sunday, June 15: Washington Mystics (road game); the game starts at 3 p.m. ET. The Mystics announced their new head coach, Sydney Johnson, on Dec. 23. Sydney previously served as an assistant coach with the Chicago Sky.
Tuesday, June 17: New York Liberty defending champions (road game); the game starts at 7 pm ET. This game will test the Dream, who will be playing an experienced team that has played together for two seasons.
The Dream has five Commissioner’s Cup games on its calendar.
Atlanta Dream 2025 WNBA Schedule
Opening night Friday, May 16, the Dream will face off against the Washington Mystics on the road under new head coach Karl Smesko.
In their second game of the season, they will face off against Clark and the Fever on Tuesday, May 20, in Indiana. They return home to face off against Indiana again on Thursday, May 22. Saturday, May 24, vs. Dallas Wings, could also be an important game, depending on what UConn sensation Paige Bueckers decides to declare for the 2025 WNBA Draft. Friday, June 27, vs. the Finals runner-up, Minnesota Lynx. On Sunday, June 20, against the New York Liberty. And then the Dream face off against the Seattle Storm on Thursday, July 3.
The Dream’s schedule in June and July is not easy. They will play against top teams in the league. The most exciting game is against the new franchise team, the Golden State Valkyries, on Monday, July 7.
