Sue Bird’s Thoughts on the WNBA

“The game itself was great, but now it’s even better.” Sue Bird said that when discussing her opinion on the state of the WNBA, Bird also expressed how she felt the league struggled to gain media coverage and that she noticed the change in today’s media. She also discussed the increase in brand deals and collaborations with WNBA players and major brands, increasing traction for the league.

Collaboration With eBay

Bird’s collaboration with eBay focuses on collectibles of WNBA players. “I wanted to make sure I connected the past with the future, and I made sure to contribute my old jerseys too,” Bird said when speaking on how she chose which collectibles to include. The eBay collectibles include items from great players in the league who are now retired—signed items, basketballs, tickets, jerseys, bobble heads and more.
