The WNBA announced a new partnership on Monday. And what better way to announce the global fashion brand as a partner and debut on one of the biggest nights of women’s basketball at the 2025 WNBA Draft in New York. Coach becomes the official handbag partner of the league. The collaboration will have key events throughout the season; one was Monday’s WNBA Draft night, which featured top draftees wearing custom Coach outfits. Another event Coach presents is WNBA Pride, a platform the league launched in 2014.

Coach will also serve as the AT&T WNBA All-Star 2025 associate partner.

WNBA Draftees With Custom-Made Coach Pieces

  • The most noticeable star and the No. 1 overall pick, selected by the Dallas Wings, Paige Bueckers, wore a custom-made Coach suit with sparkles, loafers, and, last but not least, a bag. She later switched outfits for the stage presentation.

  • Kiki Iriafen, the No. 4 overall pick by the Washington Mystics, was carrying an archival mini Tabby purse in golden patent leather by Coach.

  • Next up is the No. 3 pick, Sonia Citron, the former Notre Dame guard, also selected by Washington. Citron had on head-to-toe custom Coach pieces for the draft, a sculpted black wool blazer, a micro-mini skirt, bow-topped kitten heels, a Coach necklace and a Tabby bag custom-beaded with swirling gold flowers. Citron described her look as “minimal and classy.”

  • Another draftee to wear custom-made Coach for the draft night is the No. 7 overall pick, Aneesah Morrow, selected by the Connecticut Sun, who wore a custom black leather strapless dress, leather blouson jacket, a Black Chain Tabby bag with gold hardware and pointy toe pumps in black nappa leather.

  • Hailey Van Lith, the No. 11 overall pick selected by the Chicago Sky, wore a custom Coach dress along with a Times Square Tabby Bag. Van Lith shared her experience with the dress, stating, “The fitting process and assembling the dress were super fun. Many of the patterns, beads, and shine visible on the dress are actually reworked vintage fabrics from various Coach dresses. The way everything came together is truly unique.”

All the ladies had unique custom-made Coach pieces and looked amazing for their big night.

This new partnership is a win for the ladies. They have been waiting for a long time to have a global fashion brand like Coach at their disposal. It is the year of growth, fashion brand opportunities, and partnerships.
