Aaliyah Edwards upset Breanna Stewart in the last matchup of the day, to the surprise of most fans. Edwards, the 2024 first-round sixth overall pick, was matched up against the experienced 2016 first-round first pick, Breanna Stewart. The 6’3 forward had a field goal percentage 71.4, scoring 2 – 3 from the 3-point line. Breanna, a 6’4 forward, had a 0% field goal day, failing to secure any points beyond the arch and in the paint.
Dearica Hamby, the third-leading scorer in the Unrivaled League, averages 21.2 points per game. In the fifth matchup of the day, Skylar Diggins-Smith upset Hamby. Hamby, 6’3, scored only one field goal out of six attempts, while Diggins-Smith, 5’9, had a 50% field goal percentage.
