Championing Parenthood: An Olympic Athlete and Pampers Build a Nursery

The Pampers and Allyson Felix partnership for the Olympics is a unique collaboration that highlights Felix’s journey as both a world-class athlete and a mother. Decorated Olympian

Allyson Felix holds a record of 20 World Championship medals and 11 Olympic medals, including seven golds. She knows better than most what it takes to be an elite athlete and an elite athlete mom.

The Partnership 

She is teaming up with Pampers to create the first-ever Pampers Nursery in the Athletes Village at the Paris Olympics.  The nursery will offer a space for moms to bond with nurses and play with their babies, helping to alleviate some of the pressures of competition. The partnership also promotes maternal health and support for new mothers. 

Felix, who has openly shared her experiences of balancing motherhood with her athletic career, aligns with Pampers’ mission to support the well-being of babies and parents.

“I just knew how difficult it was to compete at the top level after I had my daughter, and some practical things were very hard. So, when I joined the Athletes Commission of the IOC, I really wanted to be that voice for athlete moms, and just take away one less thing for them to worry about in the pressure of competition,” said Felix. 

The Campaign 

Through this partnership, Pampers and Felix aim to raise awareness about the challenges mothers face and provide resources to help them navigate parenthood. Their joint efforts often include campaigns, social media initiatives, and community outreach programs designed to empower mothers and promote healthy, happy beginnings for babies.

Felix and Pampers are also working together to support preemie parents and will donate up to one million preemie diapers to NICUs across the country.

The Olympic Stage 

The Olympics is one of the most-watched sporting events globally. Having an athlete of Felix’s caliber, who is also a mother, partnering with Pampers provides a high-visibility platform to address and promote the importance of maternal support and healthy beginnings for babies.  This partnership goes beyond traditional marketing, using the global stage to spread an important social message.
