The Atlanta Dream announced on Wednesday that they have sold out their season tickets for the second year in a row for the 2025 WNBA season. In addition, they have sold out four individual games out of their 22 home games. Home games include superstar Caitlin Clark and Indiana on 6/10, followed by Angel Reese and Chicago visiting them on 6/13 and 6/22, and last but not least, A’ja Wilson and the Aces come to town on 8/27. The Dream finished the 2024 season with a record of 15-25 under former head coach Tanisha Wright. They made the playoffs; however, they lost in the first round to the New York Liberty.

For all Dream fans, this is the right time to purchase tickets for the upcoming season. New head coach Karl Smesko, who has two decades of experience, comes from the collegiate level. He coached at Florida Gulf Coast University from 2002 to 2024, with a record of 611-110 (.847). He has a winning mentality and an abundance of knowledge. What a great time to be a fan of the WNBA and the Dream! The atmosphere will be different with a new coach, but it will be exciting.

Free agency is here, and free agents can officially sign contracts on Feb 1, which is quickly approaching. With the Dream’s star forward Cheyenne Parker-Tyus being an unrestricted free agent, things can change for the Dream’s roster. Parker-Tyus has been with Atlanta since 2021, has made the All-Star team and has been a critical player for the Dream. If Atlanta does not re-sign Parker-Tyus, they will lose an elite player who does it all. She shoots the ball, facilitates, rebounds and is an excellent presence in the paint.

Since changing ownership in 2021, the Dream has seen a drastic improvement in ticket sales and a great atmosphere in their homecourt, Gateway Center Arena, in College Park, Georgia.

The President and COO had this to say about the back-to-back sellouts:

“We are overwhelmed by the incredible support from our fans as we celebrate back-to-back sellouts of our Season Ticket Memberships in record time,” said Morgan Shaw Parker, President and COO. “Women’s sports are firmly on the map in Atlanta, and that has always been one of our key goals. The passion and loyalty of our fanbase, combined with the vibrant energy of this city, have made it possible. This milestone reflects how we continue to push boundaries as we proudly represent our hometown in front of a packed arena all season long.”

The Atlanta Dream opening game day is Friday, May 16, at 7:30 pm ET vs. Washington Mystics.
