Cheyenne Parker-Tyus is Exactly What the Aces Need

Cheyenne Parker-Tyus is the latest unrestricted free agent to make moves during the offseason. Parker-Tyus played for the Atlanta Dream for three years and is heading to Las Vegas.

Adding Cheyenne Parker-Tyus is a small victory for the Las Vegas Aces, who have not had the greatest 2025 WNBA offseason. Three key players from last year’s roster chose to sign with other teams. Tiffany Hayes is joining the Golden State Valkyries, Sydney Colson signed with the Indiana Fever, and Alysha Clark is returning to Seattle. Parker-Tyus is the forward the Aces have been searching for. She is a great addition to Las Vegas and can help A’ja Wilson in the frontcourt.

Cheyenne Parker-Tyus — New Team – Las Vegas Aces

Parker-Tyus played with the Atlanta Dream for three years and thrived under former head coach Tanisha Wright. She was the Dream’s anchor, alongside Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray. Parker-Tyus does it all from crashing the boards, attacking the rim, and shooting 44.4% from the field in 2024. She is an elite defender, she averaged 3.6 defensive rebounds in 2024 and finished with 0.8 steals last season. She is precisely what the Aces have been missing throughout the years, a forward who can do it all.

The Aces frontcourt will create issues for their opponents in 2025 with the Parker-Tyus and Wilson duo. Parker-Tyus is the type of player who never gives up and does everything in her power to help her team win. Parker-Tyus is the perfect addition to this dynamic team, from learning from Hall of Famer coach Hammon to playing alongside three-time MVP Wilson, the Point Gawd Chelsea Gray, the unguardable Jackie Young and Kiah Stokes. Cheyenne is also a great facilitator, she averaged 1.5 assists in 2024.

The Aces added Dana Evans via trade from Chicago on Friday, a guard that will help the second unit this season.
