Rose BC 72 – 63 Lunar Owls

After losing to the Lunar Owls in their first regular-season matchup, the Rose BC was determined to change the narrative in the second regular-season meeting. Despite three players from the Lunar Owls scoring in double digits and Napheesa Collier posting a double-double, the Rose BC achieved a higher field goal and 3-point shooting percentage. The Rose BC maintained a lead from start to finish, never allowing the Lunar Owls the chance to take the lead, though the Lunar Owls did come close at one point. The Rose BC became the first team to defeat the Lunar Owls. Chelsea Gray scored 26 points, and Angel Reese became the first Unrivaled player to record a double-double with both points and rebounds over 20.

 Vinyl 72- 65 Mist

The Mist are currently at the bottom of the table, and their chances of making the playoffs may be slim after recording seven losses in nine games. It has been a tough season for the team, which has garnered wins against Phantom (64-61) and Vinyl (77-67) in their first matchups. Courtney Vandersloot scored 21 points, while Aaliyah Edwards and Breanna Stewart combined for 23 rebounds for the Mist. The Mist struggled at the three-point line, making only 3 of 11 attempts compared to Vinyl, who converted 7 of 14. Rhyne Howard scored 26 points for Vinyl.

Lunar Owls 88 – 60 Laces

The Lunar Owls were determined not to register a back-to-back loss, yet again, they were faced with the Laces, who currently sit in second place. The Laces are still experiencing a tough moment with most of their players not playing due to injuries, as they were ruled out last week. However, the Laces players, who signed player relief contracts, have stepped up to defend their club. The Laces were outrebounded by eight points. A greater part of the first quarter was a basket-for-basket scenario until the last second when Courtney Williams scored a 3-pointer to give the Lunar Owls a three-point lead.

The Lunar Owls built on that lead to stretch further away and by the end of the 3rd quarter, the Laces were down by 23 points. Allisha Gray registered 26 points and Williams registered 10 rebounds and 11 points.

Phantom 79 – 72 Vinyl

The Vinyl had to defend their fourth-place position to make the playoffs. However, facing a team like Phantoms was a 50/50 chance for either team to win based on their previous games played. The Phantom came out victorious, but fortunate for Vinyl, they maintained the fourth position. With the playoffs drawing closer (March 16), every win pulls a team out of the regular season, or any loss may deter progression to the next level. Vinyl had a good day on the court, but the Phantom came out victorious based on the tiny differences in the field goal and free throw percentage.

It was an up-and-down game, with each team taking the lead and giving it away, but in the 3rd quarter, the Phantom tore away to end the quarter 66-57. Natasha Cloud, who registered 14 points and eight rebounds, closed the game with a 3-point shot. Howard showed up for the Vinyl with 28 points.

Other Updates

Lunar Owls became the first team to clinch a playoff spot with its win against the Laces. The team remains a favorite in winning the inaugural season championship. Two of its players, Collier and Allisha Gray, are among the top five players in Unrivaled. Napheesa is currently averaging 26.6 points and 11.1 rebounds, while Allisha is averaging 21.3 points and 5.8 rebounds.
