The 2024 Sixth Player of the Year, Tiffany Hayes, signed with the Golden State Valkyries for the 2025 WNBA season. A move not many were expecting. Even though Hayes only spent one year with the Las Vegas Aces, she made an impact and difference on the team. That’s the same energy she will be bringing to Golden State. A familiar face will join her with her former teammate in Vegas, Kate Martin. Both former Aces are also teammates in Unrivaled. Hayes and Martin could build their chemistry even stronger by being teammates again.
Tiffany Hayes – Las Vegas Aces
In one year with Vegas, Hayes was a phenomenal player and teammate. Her former teammates enjoyed the time they had with her. The Aces embraced her immediately, and both sides quickly adapted to each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Hayes’s decision to leave Vegas wasn’t easy and, as she described, “very hard.” Hayes came out of retirement to join the Aces last season and as she stated, it brought back joy in basketball. Las Vegas will miss a caliber player like Hayes, who fought for every point, rebound and possession. Hayes was the grit player Vegas needed at the time.
Tiffany played starter minutes while coming off the bench; that’s how much of an impact she made last season. Many Vegas wins were because of Hayes, who attacks the rim and can shoot threes. She is an overall threat to any opponent.
