Transferring to the Trojans
UCLA just wrapped up its best season ever, but a key part of that success has relocated just 12 miles from Westwood. The three-year Bruin and 2022 top-25 recruit from Riverside adds scoring ability, Pac-12 experience, and big-game energy to a Trojans team that is reloading after an impressive 35-3 season. Londynn Jones, a 5-foot-4 guard who received an All-Big Ten honorable mention, averaged 8.5 points per game and led the team with 72 3-pointers this season. She recorded a career-high average of 11.8 points per game as a sophomore in 2023-24 and earned a place on the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team during her first season.
Joining JuJu Watkins
College basketball star JuJu Watkins faces an uncertain return and could miss the upcoming season due to an ACL tear she suffered early in this year’s NCAA Tournament. USC fans have continued to spread encouragement for Watkins during this challenging time. Hopefully, Watkins heals and returns to the court to compete alongside her new teammate, Jones.
Pursuing Greatness
Jones has achieved several notable accomplishments throughout her basketball career. Jones lists Kyrie Irving, Isaiah Thomas, Kobe Bryant and Allen Iverson as the professional athletes she most looks up to. Describes her greatest athletic achievement to date as winning two gold medals with Team USA. Her ability to shoot the 3-point shot is a huge part of her game and can give the Trojans another scorer on their roster. USC is now adding Jones to its roster, along with commitments from Kara Dunn of Georgia Tech and the nation’s top-ranked recruit, Jazzy Davidson. USC continues to have a roster full of talent and is creating a powerhouse program. Jones is predicted to be a major contributor to the Trojans’ program this upcoming 2025-2026 season.
