Kamorea ‘KK’ Arnold Makes History with Her Representation Team

UConn women’s basketball star Kamorea ‘KK’ Arnold has made history by becoming the first NCAA athlete to be represented exclusively by a team of Black and Latina women. This groundbreaking moment is a significant step forward in the world of sports management, where diversity and representation have often been lacking.

Meet KK Arnold’s All-Women Representation Team

Arnold’s team includes three powerhouse women from the sports management world, each bringing unique expertise and experience:

Camille Buxeda (Octagon) – Buxeda is part of Octagon, one of the most respected sports marketing and talent management agencies globally. Known for her strategic approach, Buxeda specializes in helping athletes build brands that extend beyond their sport.

Camille Jackson (ELLIMACC) – As the founder of ELLIMACC, Jackson focuses on creating meaningful partnerships and personal brand development for her clients. Her focus on empowering athletes to be authentic is a key part of her success in the industry.

Shetellia Irving (A11Even Sports) – Irving, who has previously represented NBA star Kyrie Irving, brings a wealth of experience to the table. She leads A11Even Sports, an agency known for advocating for athletes and providing them with opportunities to succeed on and off the court.

A Step Toward Greater Representation in Sports

This historic representation team marks a pivotal moment in the NCAA, as it highlights the growing influence of women of color in sports management. For years, the industry has been dominated by men and lacking in diverse voices. KK Arnold’s decision to work with an all-Black and Latina team sends a powerful message about the importance of representation and the value of diverse perspectives in shaping athletes’ careers.
