The 6 ‘0 guard Bree Hall from Dayton, Ohio, and former South Carolina Gamecock was selected by the Indiana Fever in the second round as the eighth pick. Another guard for the Indiana Fever who can make an impact on the defensive end. Hall is known as an elite defender and while under coach Dawn Staley was tasked to defend the top-scoring guard. In her time at South Carolina, she helped the program win two national and three SEC Regular-Season championships. The list goes on and on of accolades; she has helped the program win during her four years at the school.
Apart from Hall being an elite defender, she also shot 41.5% from the field and is a 38.4% 3-point shooter. Hall played all 39 games, started them all, and played 918 minutes this past season (2024-2025). Although she did not have the best performance in the championship game vs. UConn, only contributing two points, she still made an impact all season long.
Bree Hall — Indiana Fever
Hall landing in Indiana is a great way to start her rookie year, learning from her veterans and being surrounded by a familiar face in Aliyah Boston. Boston can guide and be there for Hall, not all upcoming rookies get that type of luck or luxury. If Hall makes the roster, it will be a learning curve and what an honor for her to learn from seven-year veteran guard Kelsey Mitchell, one of the best shooters the WNBA has seen. Sophie Cunningham, Lexie Hull, superstar Caitlin Clark, and lastly, 10-year two-time champion Sydney Colson are all guards who can transform Hall’s WNBA career.
Whether she makes the final roster, Hall will benefit from being surrounded by great basketball minds. That’s not the only benefit, she will get to learn from head coach Stephanie White.
Clark and the Indiana Fever’s opening game is on Saturday, May 17, at 3:00 pm ET against the Chicago Sky.
