Uganda 52 – 0 Côte d’Ivoire

After suffering a loss to Mozambique in its opening game, the last thing the host country looked forward to was such a significant loss with no points for their team. Uganda’s Lady Cranes dominated from the start with a try in the first five minutes. This opened doors for more tries and unsuccessful conversions, which still didn’t prevent the team from winning the game. This was a total blow for the young team, whose country hosted the games in a bid to promote the sport. This marked Uganda’s second victory at the round-robin formatted tournament, which boosted their confidence for the last game against Zimbabwe as potential contenders for victory in this division.

Zimbabwe 24 – Tunisia 27

This was a highly contested game between the two countries, as the Lady Sables fought for their second win while Tunisia sought its first. The match remained balanced on both ends, showcasing a tough defensive line that made it difficult for opponents to penetrate. Tunisia had an early lead in the game with a 12-point advantage at halftime (17 – 5). The Zimbabwe Sables returned to the pitch and impressed by scoring 19 points, but ultimately lost by just two points. The game resulted in a victory for Tunisia, marking Zimbabwe’s first loss.
