The HSBC SVNS grand final stage took place in Los Angeles on May 3-4 at the Dignity Health Sports Park stadium. Sixteen teams competed in the two-day tournament. This was the final stage for the 2025 HSBC SVNS Series after the preliminary tournaments had occurred in the preceding months. The series served as a qualification stage for most teams to compete against the core HSBC SVNS teams at the grand stage.

Day One Games

The teams were divided into two groups: Group A, which comprised Japan, Great Britain, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa, Argentina, China, and Ireland; and Group B, which included Australia, France, the USA, Fiji, Kenya, Colombia, Brazil, and Spain. In Group A, New Zealand had an excellent performance on day one, winning all three games it played by a large margin. The team entered the tournament as favorites, having won the Olympics last year with an undefeated run, along with five title wins in the series and two runner-up finishes. In Group B, Australia enjoyed significant victories against its opponents, placing it at the top of the table.
