The Minnesota Lynx played an away game at the CareFirst Arena, home of the Washington Mystics. The Mystics were coming off a big win against the Dallas Wings, while the Lynx were riding a three-game winning streak after their first loss of the season to the Seattle Storm.
Washington Mystics 68 – 64 Minnesota Lynx
Minnesota came in strong as usual, with a 22-point first quarter game to lead by two points. In the first quarter, the Lynx managed to score up to 20 points while holding the Mystics to only six points. They were able to pull back into the chase in the last three minutes of the game after Shakira Austin had a great run in those last minutes. Coming into the second quarter, the Mystics got their first lead of the game and maintained it, but the Lynx kept it a close chase, keeping the lead below five points.
The Lynx had a slow third quarter and kept trailing, but in the last minute, they managed to take the lead by one point. Both teams had a slow fourth quarter, with the Lynx scoring only nine points while the Mystics scored 14. They alternated leads, and the most crucial points for the Mystics came in the final seconds when Sug Sutton hit a two-pointer to give them a two-point lead, which they maintained. Courtney Williams missed a three-pointer, giving the Mystics a chance to capitalize on the turnover. Sonia Citron drew a foul on Bridget Carleton and made both free throws, giving the Mystics a four-point lead in the last six seconds.

Napheesa Collier did not play again due to her lower back injury. Alanna Smith scored 26 points, and Jessica Shepard added 12 points for the Lynx. Kiki Iriafen recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Austin contributed 19 points for the Mystics.
